UnordinaryDragon, a bad genre choice doesnt mean the song is terrible, and a song like this does not deserve a 2. dunno what came over you, but you need to get your pirorities fixed up, and fast.

this is a great song. i dont really like heavy dubstep, but thank god, this is just right. sometimes i feel the contrast between the bass and the lighter melody has been a little too stretched, but im just saying.

keep going, you'll be fine.

speaking along the lines of this song, ParagonX9 did very well making this song. you, however, had potential but didn't really use it to maximum.
it's hardly fair to say that this is a bad copy. rather i say that it was a good remake with slight errors. the original did not rave as much as this, but hey, remakes need their own uniqueness. also, the drums were drowned out by the bass sometimes.
anyway, good job.

uh huh.

not too shocking, i must admit! the trance song isn't that bad, but there are some things which you should take into consideration.
the rhythms are repetitive, and that will put off many people to not listen to the rest of the song. a catchy start with plenty of action to feed the listener throughout is always in a good song. also, this is purely opinion, but the song is too long. it's not an offence, its just saying that if you were to make a long song you would need to engage the listener with more new and interesting ideas.

on the brighter side though, you've used some good loops haven't you. most newground audio artists will hate me for this, but i dont use fruity loops (unfortunately). there were some good ideas there, which needed a bit more difference, and some melodies had good potiential, but you just missed out on a little bit more to make the melodies much more catchy.

but i commend you for your efforts and your loops, especially some of those Vengeance samples (plz give me link?) and ill give you a 9/10. yes, im nice.

Hey, first of all, thanks for the review.

I realize people tend to not be very patient if it comes to listening to music. I personally love trance tracks with long intros (I mostly listen to 8-minute-ish unmixed tracks because I like to long buildups), thus I tried making something like that. I realize those long intros and outros are mainly so DJs can more easily mix the tracks though.

I suppose for NG's audience it would indeed be better if I just shopped off the intro and outro and let it kick right in to grab the attention. If I ever finish another trance track again, I'll try not to be so lazy as to not make an NG cut. :p

On loops: I'm not sure what you mean by that; I've hand-crafted all these melodies and written my own drum lines as I always do.

finally, a song which i like -.-

it took a fukin month to get such a good song like this. which is why i love ur song so much; it took me away from doom.
normally, i wouldn't give such credit to a song which is really energetic, but this captured a certain lightness. the song itself becomes quite epic then, also the background loops along with the melody were just such a good mix, it was hard to refuse, even for a critic like me. even though i like darker songs, this song had a lot of epicness stacked inside it, and THATS what i like about a song: a good song, epic and full of action.
sometimes i thought the sounds clashed together at various points, which gave me quite a shock. but thats the only con i have for u anyway.
so well done, im very happy now! ^^

hello, TiGeR.

this is extremely good, i say. very dark, no doubt about that. the intro for me was a touch bit random, as though i didn't what was going to happen, but thats off the point. the thing is, I LOVED THE TRANSITION. that just had to stand out of everything. so epic during that bit, i didn't even expect it come. the melody blended almost perfectly with the background, it felt like u were actually in the whole scenario. overall, great job for ur first time doing a really dark song, i enjoyed it heaps.

[Journey to the sea]

relaxing, yet intense

not many people can nail my sort of style. this has an intensive mood with lots of action involved making this a great song for me, but however, there is certain amount of calmness which sort of mixes well with the powerful bass that goes around the place. i can see that during the end of the song, there were seagulls and the ocean. well, i guess u want to make this a journey to the sea, so nothing wrong there with the sound effects, but i would've taken off heaps of points for those if this wasn't a sea journey, cuz i hate those sounds.

anyways, good job. u have earned my respect, man. lookin forward to ur other songs!

finally. a song that i like.

trust me, i went in a lot of trouble in finding good songs. i only stumbled across this song when i smashed my mouse in fury (it's true guys. no lie) and it clicked on this song. suddenly the fury went away, the music was playing, and i had a good time analysing this piece of music. i gotta say, it was a bit happy for me, something that i hate in songs. but certain elements of trance and house music make this song uplifting and enjoyable. im not sure about the chord that mwdurr had said in his review, since i've learned much more theory than he has (no offence man!) and i feel that chord is okay in the music. anyways, i'll be happy to have the high quality version of this. this is really good for a long song, and sorry about the long review!

im not sure if some people agree with me, but the thing that's annoying me with the top 30 is that some songs are just too happy for me to appreciate. i prefer darker, more active songs where u just want to know what happens next in the music. this was the only song that i could be bothered in writing a review, since it fits my style. this song is intense, yet it captures the essence of the psytrance. like other people, the D&B is sorta what i didn't want, but it fits perfectly. i can see that for a first try, it's done quite well. that's it for me. hopefully there will be more dramatic and darker songs that you make.

a touch too slow, i think

it leaves a laggy sort of feeling in me. but you have nailed a modern mario underground theme. the atmosphere is very nice, makes you feel that you are walking in the actual lvl. Nintendo should put this music in their underground lvl if they do want to another game with an underground lvl! this i a good loop, though i tend to hate loops. oh well.
